ABOUT
We’re proud to announce Porsche as the Naming Partner of South Melbourne Porsche & Coffee 2026, celebrating 75 years of Porsche in Australia.
Now in its fourth year, South Melbourne Porsche & Coffee has become a much-anticipated lead-in to Grand Prix week, kicking off the celebrations the weekend before the main event. The relaxed Sunday morning gathering brings together like-minded Porsche enthusiasts, visitors and locals to enjoy an exceptional display of vehicles, connect with the community, and soak up the atmosphere over a great coffee.
South Melbourne’s connection to Porsche runs deep. In 1951, more than 70 years ago, the South Melbourne Town Hall hosted a cocktail launch for the very first two Porsche 356s imported into Australia by Norman Hamilton. With that history in mind, there is no more fitting place to host a Porsche cars and coffee event as the city turns its attention to motorsport.
Clarendon Street serves as the gateway from the CBD to the Australian Grand Prix and is perfectly positioned as a celebratory route for visitors. Aligning the event with one of the world’s most pre-eminent sports car manufacturers, and the Porsche Carrera Cup race series, reinforces South Melbourne’s role in welcoming Grand Prix fans to the precinct.
2026 marks the fourth annual South Melbourne Porsche & Coffee event. Join us – you won’t be disappointed.
On Display on the day with special thanks to the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) will be, The Formula 1® Demonstration car.
